Dominique Cravic has accompanied on stage and on record an impressive array of French artists including Henri Salvador, Olivia Ruiz and Georges Moustaki. In the jazz field, he has played and recorded with the likes of Lee Konitz, Tal Farlow, Steve Lacy and Larry Corryel. He took a masters' degree in musicology at the university of Paris and studied classical guitar at l'Ecole Normale Supérieure. He formed and leads "Les Primitifs du Futur", a vocal/instrumental outfit once including old pal Robert Crumb and exploring their shared delight in music from the 1930's, French  musette, blues and biguine. He is A & R for the "Patrimoine" collection on the Frémeaux label featuring West Indian, Yiddish, Brazilian and Tzigane musicians. His contributions to the Cézame label in collaboration with Fay Lovsky and Silvano Michelino are to be found on the albums "Seascapes" CEZ 4057/58 and "American Roadbook" CEZ 4053/54.
